Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. The basket shows the postage for your destination before you pay, and the total there is all you pay us. Payment is taken through PayPal when you place the order, and we email you a confirmation.
How to order
- Add items to your basket. You can change quantities or remove items there at any time.
- Choose your destination country; the basket then shows the postage and the total.
- Press the PayPal button and sign in, or pay by card through PayPal. Check the order on PayPal’s review page before you confirm; until then nothing is charged.
- Once payment goes through we show a thank-you page and email a confirmation of the order.

Delivery
We post orders within 2 working days of payment and email you when they are on their way.

Type can be ordered here up to 10 kg in the UK and 2 kg overseas, including packing; for more, please email us for a price. The postage you pay must match the country you send to. If your PayPal address is in a different postage area, nothing is charged and the basket works out the postage again.
Overseas buyers may have to pay import duty, tax or a handling fee when the parcel arrives. These are set by your country, not by us, and are yours to pay. Ownership and risk pass to you once the parcel is delivered. If an order has not arrived 10 working days in the UK, or 25 overseas, after posting, tell us and we will trace, replace or refund it.
Changing your mind
You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it. Tell us by email that you are cancelling; you need not give a reason. Then send the items back within 14 days of telling us, unused and in the condition you received them.
Return postage is yours to pay, unless the item is faulty or not as described. We refund the price of the items and our cheapest standard postage to you within 14 days of getting them back, through PayPal to the account you paid with. If the goods come back handled or damaged beyond what you would need to look at them in a shop, we may reduce the refund to match.
Faulty or not as described
If something arrives damaged, faulty or not as we described it, email us with a photo. We will pay to put it right with a replacement or a full refund including postage both ways. This is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which this page does not reduce.
Type cast to order
Type we cast specially to your choice of face, size or characters is made to your specification. The 14-day right to change your mind does not apply to it, though the section above on faulty items still does. Type already cast and in stock can be returned like anything else.
About our items
Our books, cards and type are made by hand in our letterpress workshop, so small variations in inking, impression and colour between copies are normal and not a fault. Not every book is printed letterpress throughout: each book’s page says how its text and cover were printed, so please check before you buy.
